Are all babies named GIGI ADORABLE???

It was so fun to see Christina and her little clone GIGI! She is such a doll! Loving all of her cute expressions. Christina/Mom/Stylist did a fantastic job stylizing her little one. The quilt with the birds and all the bows were made by Christina's mom. I really think she should open a business. When she does I will be buying that is for sure! Most of my props come straight from Turlock-I can always count on Vintage Market for unique photo elements. If you have not stopped in you really should....be prepared to spend:)

Hope you enjoy a few from GiGi's session! Pin It Now!

Jill + Mike Vierra

It was about a year ago when Jill and Mike called on the way back from Monterey....Mike had just popped the question. On their way home they decided to swing by the studio and book their wedding with me. I feel truly blessed to have been selected to be apart of their wedding.

Jill has a such a strong connection with her family! If you have met her Dad you have to know that it takes a very special man for him to let go of his true treasure! Mike you are one lucky guy!

Leading up to the wedding I enjoyed visiting her grandparents farm touring the old buildings and just getting to know Jill and her Mom! Jill and her mom shared stories of the joy Jill brought to her grandparents while putting on plays in the front yard using a stump as a stage.

The wedding day was sooo emotional for Jill's dad. Numerous times he would state "This is really hard on me" He worked so hard to get their yard ready for the big day! He even brought her grandpa's tractor to the front yard and landscaped around it. His speech at the reception was very emotional but equally funny! He gets the best speech award! The reception was held at the Merced Fair Grounds and turned out just beautiful....what a party it was! Such a fun one to be apart of!

I cannot wait to see Jill and Mike grow together and it will be such a delight to continue our friendship!

-Sierra is a Senior-
Setting out in the very dreary grey month of January.....Sierra (my daughter) and I decided to take some senior pictures. It is truly hard to believe that she is graduating from high school this year. It seems just yesterday I was dressing her up in cute little outfits sitting her in flower beds trying to get just ONE good picture.

I am going to try to post some of the oldies. Yes...it requires scanning...ugh.

Sierra was my inspiration to shoot. I just loved to take pictures of her! Seventeen years ago I decided to put one of her images in the Merced Fair and was SO surprised when I received Best of Show. I could not believe it! I was so excited to win I decided I should take a class or two and learn how to use the camera.

Enrolling in Allen Beymers Photography class at Merced College I found myself challenged by the assignments of light/line/shadow/texture. Somehow I always found a way to incorporate Sierra's picture into my assignments. I loved getting lost in the darkroom. There is nothing more exciting to see a plain white sheet of paper come to life in the darkroom. The framed mounted assignments are still part of my decor.

January is such a gloomy month and a tad bit depressing. A really good reason to get out and look for color. Mossy trees jump out of the damp, cold, woods. I hope you enjoy a few of my beautiful girl.
