Has is really been that long since I wrote??? October???...time flies when your having fun!

I did start a blog at Christmas and it just got pushed aside due to all of the other stuff that made its way to the to do list... here is my attempt to back track...

If any of you have not signed up to Pinterest....can I say you are missing out...MISSING OUT BIG TIME!

Pinterest is candy to a creative soul...less the calories...No really- What is Pinterest? It is a way to search the web for ANYTHING based on images....not just keywords.

So for those of you who are like me and feel a picture is worth 1,000 words here is the solution .... no more searching the web for curtains only to find 100,000 of text entries and leads with images buried in a website.

Now...if you are just joining Pinterest...BEWARE...get ready to be inspired to change EVERYTHING:)

One day on Pinterest I set out to look for curtain panels.....now I just purchased some beautiful panels from Anthropologie but decided I wanted a change. It was getting close to Christmas and I was about to put up my tree. I could not bring myself to spend a whole lot as they were only going to be used for the holidays.

Here is the the BEFORE look....not very festive, huh???

I search Pinterest for curtains and found a "do it yourself" project. Instead of purchasing drape panels....the DIYer said look for 60x84 table clothes....WOW...now there is a good idea. So I set out for Target and found some red table clothes. I paid 13.99 per panel, a great savings considering curtain panels range from 60.-150. per panel.

Soooo next was trying to figure out how to hand them....I did not have the type of hook the original DIYer had. And I did not want to sew them because then I could not re-use the table clothes...so I went to the garage and found the handy duct tape. It works like a charm!

In a matter of about 30 seconds I folded the top over enough to fit the existing curtain rod though and slapped the tape on and it was ready to hang.

All I needed now was the tree! What a difference the color makes!

Stephanie Borba's BEAUTIFUL shower

Stephanie and Louie are soon to be wed....if the shower is ANY indicator of how the wedding will turn out it will be just PERFECT!!! Stephanie and her girls put on one heck of a shower! Of coarse a picture is worth a thousand words.....
Stephanie's shower was held at Pageo one of my FAVORITE venues! Stephanie and her fabulous wedding party enhanced the rustic-chic feel of Pageo with decor that truly complimented Pageo's style! I just loved everything about this shower....from the sweets table, the cake made by Deb of Creative Cakes, birchwood Etsy centerpieces created by Tammy at Infinite Creations, to the beautiful food display by Hilmar Cheese it really was a MUST NOT miss! I just love, love, love all of the details! Sooo excited for the wedding!

Kate the Great Turns Four

Tickets...Tickets....Get Your Tickets.....
Kates Carnival is about to begin..... Step right up and grab your carnival cape....oh and don't forget to grab your nose...there will be LOTS of clowning around!
On your way in be sure not to miss Kate the Greats Wall of Fame before picking up refreshment Kateorade aka-Gatorade, Popcorn, and your cotton candy!  The adorable display of images pinned up perfectly with each clothespin labeling her age.....just darling!

Step right up nothing to be afraid of at this carnival....the carnies are the cutest girls in town!

I have been dying to share this with you! Not too long ago I wrote about Ashley Williams 4th of July party and how FABULOUS it was....well her little darling Kate the great brought a carnival to Turlock to celebrate her 4th birthday! Ashley thinks of everything when it comes to party planning. Ashley called on Alison from Starlit Nest to help with all of the decor....from the capes, carnie aprons, carnival banners, backdrops and even cake topper Alison of Starlit Nest really set the stage for the big top bash!

It is heartwarming to see creative talents come together and to be included in the joy that it brings to others just tops it all.

I am truly convinced that Ashley should be party planning for a living....she is soooo good at it. I wish I could share all of the fabulous images from this fantastic birthday!

Kick'n it at the Kistler Ranch

I was so honored to work with Kelly and Matt on their wedding day.  I worked with her sister, Taylor,  a few years ago on her wedding and I just adore their family!!!  The best word to describe them is lovely!  Kelly was filled with excitement on their wedding day she was glowing from head to toe!  Kelly and Matt selected the perfect spot to hold their wedding....Matt's backyard-The Kistler Ranch.

Kelly had a vision of country chic.  Immediately after getting engaged she put her Dad to work on all of the details!  Mark Lytle is a fabulous designer and made her vision come to life.

Guests entered the ceremony through the hay barn where they were greeted with vintage doors, windows and even her mom's wedding dress.  For the ceremony guests were seated on the most appropriate country seats....hay bales.  As Kelly walked down the aisle she gleamed from head to toe when met Matt's eyes.

The wedding party was full of FUN!!!  The girls were dressed in yellow with fabulous hair done by Chrissy from Streaks Salon.  I just love her creativity!  The boys were dressed in grey and yellow...hair done by themselves:)

The reception was held in the middle of the rodeo area...the guest greeted Kelly, Matt and the wedding party with WooHoos, HeHa and Yahoos as they entered the area through the cow shoot!
